About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Galliford Try, working on our South West Water Frameworks within our Environment Business.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment on water treatment, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and general industries such as mines and quarrying.

You will work closely with our Site Supervisor/Manager and Project Engineers to ensure that all work is completed to the required standard and within the required timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • Site documentation and red-lining of drawings
  • Participation in an on-call rota for emergency breakdown attendance
  • Collaboration with the Site Supervisor/Manager to identify and implement innovative solutions

About You:

We are looking for a proactive team player with good time management and communication skills. You will have a strong background in industrial mechanical installation and maintenance, with relevant qualifications such as ONC/NVQ/City & Guilds.

You will also have experience working in confined spaces and hold a CSCS skills card and City & Guilds Confined Space Training. ECS, SSSTS, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene), and First Aid at Work training are desirable.
