The Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to support growth plans. You will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day finance operations, overseeing a team of two part-time assistants, and working closely with the Senior Management Team.

This role offers a unique blend of strategic input and hands-on financial management, making you a critical part of our Senior Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate weekly and monthly financial reports to the Senior Management Team, ensuring operational and overhead costs are tightly controlled.
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including the processing of journals and investigating variances.
  • Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborating with budget holders to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the payroll process with a strong understanding of payroll management.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and manage end-of-year financial submissions.
  • Lead the credit control process, ensuring timely collections and managing outstanding debts.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in finance, with experience in financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. You will also need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with the Senior Management Team.
