Surgical Nurse Specialist

Oban, Argyll and Bute, United Kingdom NHS National Services Scotland Full time

NHS Scotland is committed to promoting equality and diversity within our workforce. As a Registered Nurse First Level (Adult), you will be part of this commitment.

The position is based at Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban, a rural hospital with 14 beds on surgical ward A receiving 24-hour care. The successful candidate will work predominantly on the ward unit but may occasionally assist in the Day Bed Unit.

We are seeking a highly skilled nurse who can assess, plan, and implement care for surgical patients. While experience working in a general surgical ward or acute setting is desirable, we welcome newly qualified RNs who are eager to learn and gain experience.

The NHS is introducing a reduced full-time working week from 37 hours. This change will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. Your salary will reflect this new working arrangement.

Our NHS values - care and compassion, dignity and respect, openness, honesty, and responsibility, quality, and teamwork - are essential in delivering exceptional patient care. We strive to maintain a positive culture that supports these values.
