Electrical System Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical System Design Engineer to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and testing electrical systems for our clients in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design and develop electrical systems, manage requirements and bill of materials throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to the team and broader business, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Solve complex technical problems using a common-sense approach and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Customer Interface: Interface directly with customers, presenting and reviewing technical information as needed.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel internationally to support customer and supplier meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Electrical System Design Experience: Proven experience in electrical system design, particularly within safety-critical environments.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical product design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Bill of Materials Management: Experience managing bill of materials in a complex engineering environment.
  • Schematic Design Tools: Familiarity with schematic electrical design tools (e.g., Mentor Capital).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements for safety-critical products, ideally within the aerospace sector.
