Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer – Body Structures or Chassis to join our Strategic Sourcing team at Forseven. This role will involve ensuring the successful launch of our new vehicle programmes by selecting capable suppliers, managing the delivery of new components, and providing input into the design of components and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies in collaboration with engineering development partners and purchasing teams
  • Lead APQP activities on vehicle components/sub-systems
  • Work closely with the engineering partner to ensure that Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are followed
  • Manage the delivery of new components into production using APQP tools
  • Ensure the selection of capable suppliers for our new vehicle programmes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline highly desired
  • Min. 3 years of experience in a complex manufacturing environment essential, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Must be experienced in TS16949/VDA requirements
  • Previous experience of Body Structures or Chassis commodities
  • Experience with APQP tools and processes
