About the Role
Risktec Solutions Ltd, a leading engineering and risk management consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our collaborative Bristol and London team. Our mission is to help clients meet their evolving energy and infrastructure needs in a safe, sustainable, and ethical way. We are looking for a dynamic professional with a strong background in nuclear safety to support the delivery of technical engineering, safety case, and project management services to major projects within the nuclear power generation sector.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves leading the delivery of major safety cases, providing specialist technical input and advice, facilitating hazard identification and optioneering workshops, and producing formal technical reports and safety cases. You will also be responsible for implementing modifications to plant, including undertaking plant obsolescence assessments, authoring specifications for new equipment, and reviewing design proposals. Additionally, you will support plant operability, including condition monitoring and identification of plant faults, and reviewing maintenance routines. The successful candidate will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the technical development of our growing nuclear team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a proven track record in maintaining engineering systems, commissioning new plant, and delivering nuclear safety cases. You will also need strong analytical and logical skills, clear communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. This opportunity has high visibility and profile, and we require an enthusiastic and confident individual who can represent Risktec in front of our clients.
