Job Summary:We are looking for a Principal/Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer to support the delivery of technical engineering, safety case, and project management to major projects within the nuclear power generation sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading the delivery of major safety cases
- Providing specialist technical input and advice to resolve complex problems
- Facilitating hazard identification and optioneering workshops
- Production of formal technical reports, safety cases, and other project deliverables on time and to budget
- Implementation of modifications to plant, including plant obsolescence assessments, authoring specifications for new equipment, reviewing design proposals, and producing design substantiation reports
- Support to plant operability, including condition monitoring, identifying plant faults, supporting equipment reliability reviews, and reviewing maintenance routines/strategy
- Management of projects, project teams, and interfacing with clients
- A proven track record in maintaining engineering systems, commissioning new plant, and/or delivering nuclear safety cases
- A drive to ensure successful delivery and continuous client satisfaction by delivering pragmatic and proportionate solutions
- The ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently where needed
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organisational skills
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- The ability to travel within the UK
