About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Trust Registrar to join our Care of the Elderly team at Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Trust Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the ward, conducting self-directed ward rounds and ensuring the smooth operation of the team.
- Assess new patients and provide senior support to junior members of the team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Plan and implement maintenance medical treatment and appropriate outpatient investigations, working closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals.
- Support consultant ward rounds and provide cross-cover, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Attend out-patients clinics as per the DME rota and support the wider nursing and specialist nursing team.
- Participate in the general acute registrar on-take rota and contribute to the development of junior team members.
- Assist in arranging junior team, multidisciplinary team meetings, in-patient discharge summaries, out-patient letters, and general correspondence.
- May be required to participate in the acute/internal Medicine Registrar on-call rota, depending on experience and competence level.
