About the Role
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Trust Registrar to join our Care of the Elderly team. As a Trust Registrar, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our wards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage the care of patients on the Stroke ward and general Care of the Elderly wards.
- Conduct ward rounds and provide senior support to junior members of the team.
- Plan and implement maintenance medical treatment and outpatient investigations.
- Support consultant ward rounds and provide cross-cover.
- Participate in the acute/internal Medicine Registrar on-call rota.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients. We work collaboratively within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Our services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital, Ellesmere Port Hospital, and Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.
Person Specification
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCP Part 1 (UK) or equivalent.
- GMC registered with a licence to Practice.
- Evidence of achievement of CT/ST1 competences/ CT/ST2 competences in medicine, or equivalent.
