Social Housing Project Lead

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of new build social housing projects. Your primary responsibilities will include providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring value for money.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates for social housing projects
  2. Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
  3. Manage variations and claims
  4. Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
  5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  6. Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Asite)

This is a senior role that requires a high level of expertise and experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction contracts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

We are offering a salary of £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
