We are seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join our team as an Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in quantity surveying.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project managers, undertaking property surveys, site inspections, and assisting with project cost control, cost planning, and quantity surveying matters. You will have the opportunity to work on various refurbishment and new build projects, developing your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting project managers and assisting them with Employers Agent and Contract Administration duties (JCT and NEC Contracts) on various refurbishment and new build projects.
* Undertaking property surveys (measured and attribute / condition surveys) to feed into project specification and work schedules.
* Site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of works being undertaken by Contractors under our management.
* Assisting with project cost control, cost planning, and Quantity Surveying matters.
* Assisting with design coordination and the review of project drawings.
Requirements:
* Holding a full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel (all expenses paid by the company).
* Good IT proficiency especially MS Word and Excel.
* 9-day fortnight rota option for flexible work/life balance opportunities.
* Use of a pool vehicle for all business travel.
