Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lincoln. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive a high-quality educational experience.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique needs.
  • Delivering differentiated instruction to students with SEN, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, making adjustments as needed to optimize their learning experience.
  • Providing guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff working with SEN students.
  • Communicating regularly with parents and carers about student progress and needs.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant training in special education.
  • A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
