About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Process and Policy Lead to join our team at Gowling WLG. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for optimizing our procurement processes and driving business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service as the initial point of contact for business and external stakeholders into the procurement function.
  • Manage the Procurement mailbox to ensure timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver firm-wide training and education to foster a collaborative communication style with procurement and non-procurement users.
  • Develop and manage procurement processes, policies, and systems to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain, communicate, and continuously improve procurement policies and processes.
  • Guide and support procurement colleagues and internal stakeholders to maximize value.

About you:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Excels in stakeholder management up to Partner level.
  • Is comfortable handling administrative tasks alongside the more technical aspects of the role.
  • Possesses strong training and presentation skills.
  • Has a process-driven mindset.
  • Is experienced in drafting policies.
  • Has expertise in setup and mobilisation.
  • Is a self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to use initiative.
