Senior Procurement Manager - Rail (Buildings)

Are you a strategic thinking construction procurement professional looking for a challenging opportunity to work on high-profile rail projects? We are seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, Solihull, Manchester or Dartford.

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a passion for relationship building, sustainable procurement, and best value. As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, policies, and processes that enhance our supply chain management and deliver collaborative relationships.

Your key duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing project procurement strategies, policies, and processes to deliver business objectives and requirements.
  • Providing market intelligence, cost advice, and supply chain performance management to support the procurement and estimating teams.
  • Leading and supporting a team of procurement professionals, including training, development, and staff appraisals.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate governance and procurement best practices throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitoring markets and providing alternative procurement strategies to maximize opportunities or minimize risk.
  • Providing management information and reports to support business requirements.
  • Championing innovation and identifying new methods, materials, and systems to increase competitive advantage and cost-effective solutions.

  • Project procurement strategy
  • Supply chain planning
  • Experience working in the construction industry or similar

We are looking for a candidate with a measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value procurement. Experience of CIPS or working towards CIPS is desirable, but relevant job experience will also be considered. We are happy to consider candidates who are able to work from our offices in Dartford, Manchester, or Birmingham.
