Our client, a prominent international manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Procurement Lead to join their team in Birmingham on a full-time, permanent basis.


In the role of Procurement Lead, you will collaborate with the UK Procurement Team while overseeing the local procurement department to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives aligned with procurement strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the execution of a category management framework.
  • Utilizing SAP MRP for managing inventory of spare parts.
  • Daily oversight of the procurement team.
  • Processing purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies.
  • Sourcing non-stock engineering components.
  • Establishing service contracts as needed by the organization.
  • Acting as the SAP MM key user for the facility.
  • Employing effective stock control practices to manage central storage, ensuring part security, optimal working capital, and high stock accuracy.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a procurement role.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership position.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to foster enduring relationships.
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
  • Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Actively pursuing MCIPS certification.
