Job Description

At Meallmore, we are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Manor Care Centre in Nairn, Scottish Highlands. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their wellbeing and independence.

Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development opportunities will enable you to develop your skills and progress in your career, whether as a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner. We also offer support with registering with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council).

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high standard of care and support in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Contributing to a caring environment and participating in general activities of the home.
  • Adhering to Meallmore Standards, Policies, and Procedures, as well as National Care Standards.
  • Working in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
  • Collaborating with care staff in your department and wider teams.
  • Carrying out personal care duties.

Desirable skills include:

  • Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines).
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A kind and caring nature.
