The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a skilled Shipping Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our Samples Dispatch facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for receiving, packing, preparing, and shipping biological samples globally, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, pack, prepare, and ship R&D samples, ensuring compliance with IATA/ADR/IMDG, Health and Safety, CLP (GHS), and customs standards.
  • Dispatch goods, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
  • Proactively track shipments and investigate any missing shipments or shipment errors.
  • Creation, maintenance, and updating of relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance, and training.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in shipping, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Desirable: experience with shipping dangerous goods, scientific samples, and working in line with CLP, GHS, and REACH regulations.
  • Exposure to stock ordering and warehouse management software.
