Our Payments Governance, Risk and Controls team is responsible for providing expert guidance across the Society, ensuring compliance with Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSRs) and maintaining secure and efficient payment systems.

You'll be based at least two days per week or 40% of your working time at our Swindon, Northampton, Bournemouth, or London office. This role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to ensure compliance with complex regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regulatory expertise and advice to support business areas in embedding Payment Services Regulations 2017 and ensuring compliance with PSR 2017 Assessment Framework.
  • Interpret complex regulations, identify potential risks, and provide guidance on customer and compliance risk assessments.
  • Represent Payments on strategic change initiatives and senior management team meetings to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Plan, lead, and deliver bespoke payments risk, controls, and compliance assignments to high standards and timescales.
  • Support completion of first-line customer and compliance risk assessments and documentation of key risks, controls, and monitoring.
