We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Lead Student Support Specialist to join our team at a secondary school in Wythenshawe.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing social, emotional, and spiritual support to students to ensure their overall well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the pastoral team in delivering pastoral care services
  • Assist in organizing and leading pastoral care initiatives and activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student development
  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions and progress
  • Uphold a safe and nurturing environment for students

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar pastoral or support role is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Commitment to promoting the well-being of students
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. The salary will be commensurate with experience.

The role requires a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. All candidates must undergo a DBS check as part of our due diligence.
