Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to the Human Resources Department in the delivery and management of the University’s payroll function.

The role holder will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and University policies.
  • Providing payroll-related advice and guidance to staff.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the administration of payroll, including processing payroll returns and dealing with employee queries.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Developing and implementing effective payroll processes and procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations.

Working Arrangements

The role is a temporary, part-time position, working approximately 25 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work from home, with occasional on-site visits to the University’s campus.
