NRG is an organisation in Durham that is looking for a Senior Payroll Manager to support the HR department in the effective delivery and management of the operational aspects of the payroll function.
The Role.
As a Senior Payroll Manager at NRG, you will be responsible for all activity relating to the delivery of monthly payrolls in respect of circa 6,000 employees.
You will oversee the management of the payroll administration functions of the department, ensuring the service delivers timely, accurate and compliant payments to employees and external stakeholders such as HMRC.
About You.
- You should have oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships both internally and externally.
- You should be a digital competence holder with demonstrable skills in using core digital tools including internet, email, digital communication tools, Microsoft 365 applications, project planning, financial systems.
- You should hold a CIPP Foundation degree in Payroll Management (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate continuing professional development required to maintain professional recognition within a payroll arena.
- You should have experience of implementing policy and procedures and involvement with future changes for a service area.
- You should have experience leading and developing high performing teams.
- You should have knowledge and experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational policy and guidelines.
- You should have experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues, including more senior colleagues.
- You should have experience of being able to network effectively and develop strong and productive working relationships.
- You should have knowledge of relevant legislative and statutory regulations.
