Podiatry Assistant

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Podiatry Assistant to join our dynamic podiatry team in a community setting. The demand for specialist podiatry care is growing, and many of our patients are now high-risk, requiring regular podiatry intervention and education for the prevention and management of foot ulceration and amputation.
This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across various settings, including community clinics, acute outpatient clinics, and domiciliary care.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide foot care treatment and health education under the guidance of a podiatrist.
- Run independent clinics or assist in specialist areas such as ulcer or surgical clinics.
- Work flexibly across multiple sites to meet the needs of the service.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team setting.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to work independently and contribute to service development.
Developmental Opportunity
We are also considering applications for a Band 3 to Band 4 developmental post. This will involve undertaking a 2-year Foundation Degree (Level 5) apprenticeship while working with us. Applicants must have a Level 3 qualification as a minimum requirement for the apprenticeship entry and have achieved Level 2 maths and English functional skills.

- Band 4 Entry: Must possess a Foundation Degree in Health Science.
- Developmental Entry: Completed Level 3 qualification is essential.
- Passionate about delivering high standards of patient care.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
