About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Podiatry Assistant to join our dynamic podiatry team in the Eastern locality. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across various settings, including community clinics, acute outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and domiciliary care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide foot care treatment and health education under the guidance of a podiatrist.
  • Run independent clinics or assist in specialist areas such as ulcer or surgical clinics.
  • Work flexibly across multiple sites to meet the needs of the service.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team setting.
  • Utilise strong organisational skills to work independently and contribute to service development.
Developmental Opportunity:

We are also considering applications for a Band 3 to Band 4 developmental post. This will involve undertaking a 2-year Foundation Degree (Level 5) apprenticeship while working with us. Applicants must have a Level 3 qualification as a minimum requirement for the apprenticeship entry and have achieved level 2 maths and English functional skills.

About You:
  • Must possess a Foundation Degree in Health Science for Band 4 entry.
  • Completed Level 3 qualification is essential for developmental entry.
  • Passionate about delivering high standards of patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the service demands.
