Deputy Chief Economist

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Economist to join our team at Page Executive. As a key member of our infrastructure bank, you will be responsible for providing high-quality economic and analytical advice to support our decision-making and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust impact assessments, ensuring transparency and high-quality economic advice.
- Lead the development of monitoring and evaluation approaches, embedding evaluations and learning within the bank.
- Network and engage with analytical leaders in relevant Whitehall infrastructure departments, Public Finance Institutions, academics, and external experts.
- Lead a high-performing team of analysts, economists, and sector specialists.
- Provide thought leadership on Net Zero and regional economic growth in an infrastructure context.
- Maintain relationships to ensure executive committee members and the Board understand impact, additionality, and evaluation.
Requirements:
- Strong track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment, especially in infrastructure, energy, or local growth.
- Strong economic/analytical skills, with the ability to organise and bring together high-quality analysis.
- Direct expertise in applying appraisal and evaluation approaches, such as Green Book appraisals.
- Experience influencing and communicating complex economic modelling to ExCo and Senior Leadership.
- Strong personal and strategic leadership ability, including building capability and driving excellence.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £105,000 - £120,000 PA DOE, plus bonus and excellent benefits.
