Workshop Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at our busy MOT Centre and Service Centre in Flitwick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the workflow of our workshop, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Lead and motivate a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their targets and deliver high-quality work.
  • Develop and implement effective scheduling and workload management systems to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with our sales team to ensure seamless communication with customers and effective job booking and scheduling.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure they are road-safe and meet our high standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or senior mechanic with a track record of leading a team.
  • Valid MOT testing license and experience in conducting MOT tests.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Hold a full driving license for a minimum of 3 years (maximum 3 points).
