Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our SSEN Transmission Capital Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of a complex asset replacement project, ensuring safe delivery to programme, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the SSE team and manage multiple external contractors to achieve project excellence and deliver on our promises.
- Manage the execution of a capital project, ensuring adherence to our Safety Management Systems, best practices, and SSE Governance processes.
- Demonstrate alignment with the SSE Safety culture and core values.
- A strong project management, engineering, or construction background and understanding of applicable health and safety regulations, including CDM regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record in the successful delivery of large projects.
- Contractual management experience, preferably with NEC3, with the ability to forecast and control costs and develop and manage integrated project programmes.
- A driving licence and willingness to travel to site and be on site for 2-3 days a week during construction.
- Experience managing large electricity transmission projects is desirable, but experience in managing major projects from other industries, coupled with the desire and ability to learn quickly, will be considered.
