Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Development Engineer to join our team at Edp Renovaveis Servicios Financieros SA. As an Asset Development Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the design process of assigned projects within the concerned geography, providing technical support to the development phase, contracting and construction phase, in accordance with the directives of the head of the department and applicable regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Development Engineering: Coordinate the preparation of technical projects for the development of renewable energy generation plants and electrical interconnection infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the conditions established by the business units, other technical departments or external agents.
  2. Electrical Interconnection Common Infrastructure Design: Participate in the design of the electrical infrastructure of the generation plants to interconnect to the electric network common infrastructure with other developers/operators.
  3. Specialized Studies Coordination: Coordinate and validate with other Technology Units the execution of specific key studies for its integration in the engineering project.
  4. Techncial Standardization: Coordinate and ensure the development and application of technical standardization in the concerned geography.
  5. Tender Engineering: Coordinate the preparation of technical packages to deliver to Procurement for the construction Request for Proposals (RfPs) of renewable energy generation plants and electrical interconnection infrastructure.
  6. Project Handover to Construction: Make an optimum transfer of projects under Engineering responsibility to the Construction unit.
  7. Due Diligence Local Support: Provide support to the due diligence process for new projects under study within the concerned geography.
  8. Company Policy and Legal Compliance: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility.
  9. EDPR Institutional Representation: Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR.

Requirements:

  1. Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. A postgraduate in Renewable Energies will be valued.
  2. Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in Wind/Solar PV Power Plants.
  3. Specific Requirements: Electrical Substations, Grid Connection Points, Wind/PV MV networks; Relationship with Natgrid/TSO/DNO; Knowledge of local and International technical standards.
  4. Languages: Country language. Spanish or others are a plus.
