Clean Water Network Modeller/Engineer - All Levels

Job Summary

The successful candidates will join a team of engineers, modellers, GIS specialists, and technicians, playing a key role in delivering projects to a range of clients, including Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers, and potentially international projects. The Clean Water Networks team resides within the Asset Planning & Solutions practice, carrying out projects related to water and wastewater, including water supply network design, trunk mains, drainage network improvement schemes, and feasibility studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake feasibility studies and projects using computer modelling, analysis, and recommendations for operational and environmental interventions.
  • Develop and implement industry-leading solutions and innovative approaches.
  • Model and analyse clean water distribution networks, building and calibrating network models for planning, operational, and design purposes.
  • Supervise report writing and review outputs.
  • Experience with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, and other modelling software.
Requirements
  • BSc/BEng/MEng degree in geography, GIS, Science, engineering-related subjects, or equivalent with professional qualifications at senior levels.
  • Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs, generating outline solutions.
  • Analysis of data, supporting the development of engineering solutions, and advising clients on asset investment decisions.
  • Supporting the development of reports and project deliverables, preparing and adhering to health and safety risk assessments.

The successful individuals will be self-motivated, able to work with others in various project roles, and demonstrate an ability to learn and develop technically. They will be looking to further their career, whether in the early stages or applying skills to senior leadership positions.
