About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for taking ownership of medium and long-term strategic planning models, supporting acquisitions and growth, and working closely with the Board, SMT, and operational heads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain medium and short-term strategic planning models.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and mergers.
  • Analyse industry trends, competitors, and market share possibilities to inform business decisions.
  • Evaluate financial reports and company fundamentals to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in structuring and assessing the impact of financial models on overall business growth.
  • Prepare financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses to support business planning.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and accounting teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide insights on risk assessment and mitigation strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Support post-merger integration and ensure a smooth transition.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant with strong technical reporting skills. Ideally, you will have trained with a large audit firm prior to moving into the commercial sector. Large company audit experience and advanced Excel and modelling skills are also essential.
