Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at The NEC Group. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a full menu within multiple areas to required specification within allocated time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead chef in preparing and cooking food for service, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Contribute to the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Collaborate with the food and safety support department to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Utilize catering systems effectively, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting any discrepancies to the business systems team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ 1 and 2 Chef qualification.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a full kitchen operation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
