About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to detainees in our custody suites.

With a strong background in acute medical healthcare, you will be responsible for assessing and caring for detainees, as well as collecting forensic samples to assist the police with their investigations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Paramedic to develop their skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and care for detainees in custody suites
  • Collect forensic samples, including road traffic offence bloods
  • Signpost and conduct referrals for vulnerable individuals
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies and promote good personal healthcare
  • Work with Liaison and Diversion to identify mental health needs

You will work closely with the police and receive training and support to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience

Previous experience in A&E, walk-in centres, substance misuse, community nursing, or police custody would be beneficial.
