LTF Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with SEN children on a 1:1, small group, and Alternative Provision basis. They will work closely with a child within the school's Special Educational Needs Provision, collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide a nurturing, educational, and enjoyable learning environment.
The school is a fantastic, supportive school in Dagenham, with a brilliant SENCO and a very supportive Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, on a long-term basis. There is potential for the role to become a permanent placement if the school sees fit.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the class teacher with all lessons throughout the school day.
- Assisting children with SEN, helping them with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Planning and assessing small group work and 1:1 interventions following the school's assessment systems and tracking progress.
- Assisting all children within the classroom to support them and the class teacher as much as possible.
- Level 3 or relevant qualification required.
- Highly experienced SEN practitioner within an Alternative Provision.
- Well-versed in behavior management.
