Job Title: KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Dagenham. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting students with diverse needs, particularly those with behavioural needs, ADHD, and Dyslexia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, promoting their educational and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, encouraging independence and confidence in students.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
