We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Controller to join our team at Halfords. As a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop team on a day-to-day basis and have supervisory responsibility.
You will allocate jobs to the Workshop team based on technical requirement and customer demand. Hold daily huddles, ensuring all colleagues are updated on commercial priorities and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical capabilities and inspire and mentor the Workshop team. You will be an ambassador for Halfords, promoting our Values and instilling these in the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the Workshop team to drive performance and delivery
- Develop colleagues through delivery of technical training
- Exceed customer metrics and work with management to support in driving key metrics and KPI's
- Meet compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality
- Labor force scheduling and time management
