About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Lancaster and Morecambe CAMHS Team. As a leading member of our well-established community children and young people's mental health service, you will provide input to your team and support emergency assessments at the local district general hospital.

The post is full-time (10PA) and includes participation on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be payable.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people with mental health needs
  • Support emergency assessments and contribute to the development of the CAMHS service
  • Participate in the Consultant On Call rota and provide out-of-hours cover
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective care
  • Contribute to the development of the CAMHS service and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months
  • AC status or within 3 months
