Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for developing future supply options and associated appraisals, bringing multiple parts of the business together to define strategic options.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in water options development and/or engineering, with experience in working with water supply systems, treatment processes, and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative supply options that address future water needs while mitigating associated risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and local communities to ensure effective integration of outputs into strategic planning processes.
  • Apply engineering principles, modelling tools, and risk assessment techniques to support identification and prioritisation of resilience enhancement measures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Masters degree in Engineering or related discipline desirable.
  • Hold professional chartership of a recognised body (e.g CIWEM) desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience in water resources management, resilience planning, or related field.

The estimated salary for this role is £42,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
