Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Epping, supporting students aged 10-19 in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, focusing on their unique learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
  • Offer one-on-one or small group assistance, helping students stay engaged and focused on their academic and social goals.
  • Support students in their social, emotional, and academic growth, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with autism and other learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring nature, with the ability to manage challenging behavior.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake training in SEN education.
