Job Summary

The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team as a Theatre Practitioner Team Lead, responsible for assessing care needs, evaluating care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. In the absence of the Clinical Lead, the post holder will have continuing responsibility for the management of the Department, including supervision and deployment of staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess care needs and evaluate care plans to ensure high-quality care delivery
  • Manage the Department, including supervision and deployment of staff, in the absence of the Clinical Lead
  • Maintain clinical and staff governance
  • Participate in duty rosters, including day, late, and night shifts, as required
  • Participate in on-call rosters, providing 24-hour cover over 7 days per week
  • Function as an independent practitioner, providing an on-call service for transplant and retrieval

Requirements

The post holder will be required to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
