About the Job

St Helens Council has a vacancy for a Cleaner to join our team at Hope Academy. As a key member of our Cleaning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school and council buildings throughout the borough.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Cleaning and maintaining the school and council buildings, including classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and other areas
  2. Emptying bins, sweeping, mopping and polishing floors, dusting surfaces, washing walls and windows, and carrying out other cleaning tasks as required
  3. Working individually or as part of a team to complete daily cleaning routines and ensure that all areas are clean, tidy and safe for everyone
  4. Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with staff, pupils and members of the public

This role is subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure and you must be willing to undergo a DBS check if successful in your application.
