Job Description

CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions is seeking a skilled client accountant to provide exceptional service delivery to a portfolio of clients in line with agreed client-specific service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain key relationships with clients, ensuring timely delivery of all reporting for allocated client portfolios.
  • Bespoke Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports tailored to client requirements.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare annual and interim standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and FRS 102 for UK and Channel Island Limited Partnerships, Unit Trusts, Limited Companies, and Limited Liability Partnerships.
  • Review and Analysis: Review and analyze SPV and Holdco reporting and financial statements prepared by the team of accountants.
  • Financial Analysis and Support: Provide financial analysis, complex reporting, and support on acquisitions and disposals.
  • Investor Reporting: Prepare investor reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare VAT returns and CIS returns.
  • Due Diligence: Process and conduct due diligence work and NAV calculations on acquisitions and disposals of entities.
  • Compliance and SLAs: Ensure compliance with current procedures to meet SLAs and KPIs within agreed timeframes.
  • Cashflow and Loan Covenant Reporting: Prepare cashflow reports and loan covenant reports.
  • Dividend and Distribution Calculations: Calculate dividend and distribution amounts.
  • Client and Internal Meetings: Attend client meetings and internal meetings.
  • Team Management: Coach, develop, and manage junior team members.
  • Process Improvement: Identify potential process improvements and work with the Director to implement.
  • Interdepartmental Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with other departments.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification: A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, or CIMA) is preferred.
  • Reporting Review: Review of reporting prepared by colleagues is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Time Management: Focused on delivering solutions within agreed timeframes.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management and Prioritization: Good time management and prioritization skills.

Work Experience:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Experience in preparing financial statements and accounting for transactions in accordance with IFRS and FRS 102.
  • Workload Management: Experience in managing independently workload allocation and workload planning.
  • Property Accounting: Property accounting experience would be advantageous.
  • Channel Island Entities: Working knowledge of Channel Island entities would be advantageous.
  • Business Culture: Experience of working in a business culture that promotes adherence to procedures and controls.
  • Bespoke Reporting: Experience in providing bespoke reports to clients based on accounting information.
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint).
  • Software Experience: Experience of the TBS TRAMPS and Yardi systems would be advantageous.
