Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Healthcare Professional to join our dynamic and friendly team in the Main Haemodialysis Unit at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with acute clinical experience to contribute to implementing and progressing of a range of patient treatment and care programmes mainly Haemodialysis as delegated by a registered healthcare practitioner.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to implementing and progressing of a range of patient treatment and care programmes mainly Haemodialysis as delegated by a registered healthcare practitioner, and report back on progress.
  • Making minor modifications to the care/treatment plan haemodialysis within prescribed parameters, supervision of individual/group patient therapy sessions, timetabling/running patient activities (eg. outpatient clinics).

The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be able to work closely with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic renal failure.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Coordinator for Dialysis Unit, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and co-ordination of junior staff, adhering to Unit protocols and policies, and participating as an active member of the healthcare team.

Requirements
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Have a basic understanding of aseptic technique and be able to procure and safely send off clinical specimens as requested by the nurse or doctor.
  • Previous healthcare experience is essential and an existing NVQ level 3 would be desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £23,779 per annum, inclusive of enhancements for unsocial hours worked.
