Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner to join our Emergency Duty Service team. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Work Practitioners to have real input into the delivery of social care services in a nationally leading local authority.

The successful candidate will work as part of a small and supportive team, responding to emergency situations that arise outside of office hours. They will be responsible for ensuring the immediate protection and safeguarding of children and young people who have or who are at risk of harm.

This role is predominantly home-based, with some shifts requiring the post holder to work from the office until midnight. The ability to travel and respond to situations during a shift is essential.

About the Role
  • You will have experience working with Children Social Care and have a sound knowledge of safeguarding thresholds, legislative and statutory duties and responsibilities.
  • You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to engage multi-agency partners and families in developing effective safety plans for children and young people.
What We Offer
  1. A competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
