Job Title: Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the infrastructure team, ensuring the safe maintenance of our 8-mile railway, track, civil engineering, and historic buildings.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice on civil engineering and building maintenance, managing and maintaining required infrastructure resources for our timetabled train services.

About Us

The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway is a registered charity operating in mid-Wales, providing a steam-hauled tourist service and heritage displays carried out predominantly by volunteers.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the infrastructure team to ensure the smooth operation of our train services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on civil engineering and building maintenance projects.

  • A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude with a hands-on engineering approach.
  • A strong background in civil engineering or buildings discipline with practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
