We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join our Art department at Hillmorton High School.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching Y8 to 13 design and visual communication and visual arts painting and design to NCEA level 3.

They will have strong skills in delivering high-quality visual arts education and be familiar with the relevant curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching visual arts to students
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress
  • Collaborating with other teachers to achieve common goals

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Visual Arts Education or a related field
  • Experience in teaching visual arts to secondary students
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and NCEA assessment requirements
