Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sales and Operations Lead to join our team at Thales. This role is key in driving business performance through the optimisation of sales, production, and inventory management processes.

The successful candidate will lead the strategic integration of sales, production, and inventory management processes to ensure the seamless alignment of supply and demand in the production of product and the delivery of customer projects.

About the Role

This individual will work cross-functionally with senior leadership to establish and implement long-term forecasting, planning, and resource allocation strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

They will meet with business and function leads to challenge and agree the demand picture (driving correction and validation) to ensure 'clean' inputs to the S&OP cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic integration of sales, production, and inventory management processes to ensure the seamless alignment of supply and demand.
  • Drive business performance through the optimisation of sales, production, and inventory management processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leadership to establish and implement long-term forecasting, planning, and resource allocation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of managing complex S&OP processes in a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment.
  • Experience in the defence or aerospace industry is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the S&OP process, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Expertise in the use of ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
