Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consultant in General Adult Community Psychiatry at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expert care to patients with complex and high-risk psychiatric conditions.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with junior medical staff to provide supervision and support in accordance with the Trust's personnel policies and Modernising Medical Careers framework.
  • You will assess and manage complex cases, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and treatment.
  • You will also contribute to the development of the Dacorum Community Mental Health Service, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively within a team environment. You will also have a strong knowledge of mental health legislation and regulations, including the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  • To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
