Head of Engineering

North Scout is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Engineering to join a leading fintech organisation based in Leeds.

This is a critical leadership role that demands a strategic vision and a proven track record in engineering management within complex environments.

Our client operates in a specialized area of fintech, collaborating with prominent enterprise clients on intricate initiatives.

Role Overview:

In this newly-created position, you will report directly to the CTO and be responsible for a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Your primary responsibility will be to define and execute the engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with the organisation's overall objectives.

You will work closely with the CXO team to uphold governance standards and enhance Agile delivery practices.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Formulate and implement engineering strategies that drive innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Champion Agile methodologies to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Extensive technical expertise, particularly in Agile practices and cloud technologies.
  • A solid track record of successfully managing teams and delivering critical projects.
  • A strong commitment to driving innovation and operational excellence in engineering processes.

A hybrid working model, requiring two days in the office each week.

A competitive salary of up to £140k plus package for the right candidate.
