About the role

The North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Assistant to provide high-level support to the Corporate Leadership Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining realistic and manageable diaries, ensuring all aspects of meetings and conferences are organised, and providing timely responses to deadlines. You will also be expected to attend and minute meetings, remain conversant with workloads for the Corporate Leadership Network, and liaise with members of the public and elected Members on behalf of colleagues.

About you

We are looking for a highly organised and efficient individual with excellent communication skills, both orally and written. You will have previous experience of working in a similar role and possess advanced IT skills in MS Office, plus NVQ 3 or equivalent. As a team player, you will be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, establish good working relationships, and contribute positively at team meetings.
