Corporate Estate Specialist

This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of properties, focusing on maximising value and achieving business objectives. As a seasoned Property Asset Manager, you will possess extensive knowledge of property law, market trends, and financial analysis. Your expertise will enable you to advise senior stakeholders on strategic decisions, drive effective negotiation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Asset Valuation and Management: Oversee the valuation of the council's property portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CIPFA rules. Develop and implement strategies to maximise asset value and inform business decisions.
- Technical Advice and Support: Provide high-level technical guidance to internal stakeholders, including council services and directorates. Collaborate with external experts to deliver complex projects and negotiate contracts.
- Negotiations and Disposals: Lead on high-stakes negotiations for leasehold acquisitions, disposals, and other property-related transactions. Ensure optimal outcomes and recommend best terms for the council.
- Programme Management: Assist the Senior Asset Manager in overseeing the capital receipts programme, ensuring timely completion and maximum returns.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare detailed reports for the Asset Management Review Group, highlighting surplus assets for disposal and informing strategic decisions. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
In exchange for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, reflecting your exceptional skills and experience.
