Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism, promoting social skills, communication, and independence.
  • Foster a supportive and understanding environment to help students manage their emotions and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in autism support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with autism, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

Working for Teaching Personnel:

As a valued member of our team, you will have access to free child protection and prevent duty training, as well as full assistance with DBS checks.
